Colin Turkington wins the British Touring Car Championship(BTCC),� making himself the fifth BMW driver to take home the prestigious title since 1933. He has gone through a series of 27 races to this grand finale with 249 points. With his Super2000-spec BMW 320si, he was stubborn in gaining the title.� His competitors were equally tough and the pressure was high on him. He reached his maximum points when he won the three deciding races in the final weekend. He said

In 2007 he also won the BMW Sports Trophy, the renowned award for the most successful private BMW driver of the year.
Joachim Winkelhock, in his Schnitzer Motorsport BMW 318i was the last BMW driver to win the BTCC title back in 1993.
