  • Before purchasing any car, check the vehicle’s price. It is always recommended to know the fair market value of the car before being purchased. Once the rate is quoted very low than the original price then probably it’s a scam.
  • Try to have a direct conversation with the seller. If the seller does not show any interest in meeting you directly for the deal, then that is a bad sign. Make sure you inspect the vehicle before making payment.

  • Be very cautious in making your payment. The seller may claim to disburse dollars via wire payment systems and ask to collect the vehicle in some other locations. Please never ever accept for this kind of deal.

  • If the seller says that the car will be shipped only after the payment, pay only one-third of the total amount convincing him to pay the rest, immediate after the beginning of shipping process.
  • Check whether the vehicle’s identification number matches with the paperwork which includes insurance card, insurance policy, vehicle title and registration.

The one who is more passionate about cars will surely consider the tyre elements as one of the big concerns. If you own any hi-fi cars like Audi or Benz then it is certainly important to know the hieroglyphics of what is marked on the sidewall of tyre. Many of them rely on trusted experts for dealing with the tyre concerns and updates, but still it is necessary to know at least the basic patterns of what connects the car with the road.

Do you know what 205/70R14 88 T mean?  Take time to analyse what those numbers and ratings mean. You can’t leave this as optional if you are preparing to hit the slopes in ski season. Know to decipher hieroglyphics and you can even become craze for tyres.

205 – The number which you find in the beginning part indicates the width of the tyre’s section and it is measured in millimeters.

70 – It is the aspect ratio, specifies the height of the tyre sidewall.

R14 – This indicates the rim diameter. ‘R’ means radial describing the model of construction and 14 represents the diameter in inches.

88 – It is the load index, specifying the maximum load capacity of the tyre.

– The last part indicates the speed index; the letter specifies the maximum speed the tyre can cope with.

For instance, if the speed symbol is mentioned as A5 then speed in km/h is 25 for A6 it is 30, A7 it is 35 and the list goes up to (Y) which is above 300. If you view the tyre of the Audi A1 you can see the markings 215/45R16 90V. Hope, you can now understand the terms of what each deals with.

When you look into tyre hieroglyphics the other major term which you will come across is “DOT” serial number. The DOT symbol is like a benchmark used to certify the tire manufacturer’s standard and the last four digits of the code gives the date of manufacture.

As you are now familiar with the tyre hieroglyphics, you can make your own better deal with tyres rather than depending on experts.
