The youths of France celebrated New Year by burning 1,137 cars across country during the night as New Year’s Eve.

It seems that the car burnings are usual happenings in poor suburbs that ring France’s big cities, but the fire-raising is particularly common during New Year’s Eve celebrations.

The number of vehicles torched was only 10 less than the record 1,147 burnt during New Year’s celebration last year.

The police has arrested 549 people overnight, contrast with 288 in 2009 New Year celebrations.

Poor cars…What wrong did they do to be victims of such violent celebrations??
