Bentley’s new flagship model which brings back the Mulsanne name, and will reinstate the Arnage, was unveiled at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, on 16 August 2009. The car, which will rival the Rolls-Royce Phantom and Maybach 57 and 62 in the class above the luxury-car sector, is anticipated to go on sale during 2010. Coupe and convertible variants are suspected to follow at some point as replacements for the Arnage-based Brooklands and Azure .

However it has been confirmed that the car will retain the iconic 6.75 L (6750 cc/411 in�) V8 engine, albeit in a heavily redesigned state. While the price of the car has yet to be announced, the first vehicle to be produced has already been sold at an auction at the Pebble Beach event for $550,000.
